Just as Prometheus stole light from the gods, the miners used to say they were stealing coal from the earth. In their memory, an eight-meter-tall statue of a miner, created by Zoran Poznič, stands at the viewpoint above Trbovlje. It is made of scrap mining iron with a heart of coal, and its lamp shines across the valley toward the mine entrance.
We recommend extending your visit as you wish and, in fair weather, taking a seat at a nearby café to enjoy the view of the town of Trbovlje
