Art, which has always predicted and heralded the new, can, in conjunction with scientific research and new media, suggest inspiring paths to a sustainable and reflective future of global Europe. Rijeka, Belgrade and Trbovlje represent valuable models with their diversity of economic, cultural and scientific components and characteristics. FASIH wants to connect modern models of revaluation and revitalization of industrial heritage, which, using IT and new technological tools, provide new approaches to the promotion of the value of cultural, scientific and industrial heritage, attractive to new generations of users of cultural and artistic content. FASIH focuses on the interdisciplinary artistic and scientific research of industrial and cultural heritage, the discovery, research and evaluation of those architectural achievements and immaterial processes that marked the modern history of Belgrade, Rijeka and Trbovlje. As a valuable reflection of outstanding architectural and technological contributions both in national, regional and European history and their authentic modernity, the digital transfer into audiovisual, innovative new media content proposes possible revitalization models that are interdisciplinary in design and at the same time environmentally friendly. Narratives from industrial heritage documents and envisioned artistic-scientific collaborations and processes will merge into research projects (360 video, 3D printing, animations and simulations using VR, AR, XR techniques, etc.). The final part of the project will be marked by exhibitions in all three cities, which will show the final results of two and a half years of cooperation.
